Switching visualization using drop down - spotfire

I have a multiple visualization (side by side chart) in one page. could someone help me to switch from side by side to vertical bar using iron python in spotfire 7.8. Creating a drop down list in text area where can select vertical or side by side bar using the same data. any help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

          i tried this code the visualization is working the problem is the x-axis and y-axis values was change. what should be the chartype of side by side?

            I tried new approach i created a drop down with a month, week and day. In Set property control for Month i place this values <[sum(cost) as [cost] NEST [avg(avgcost)> as [Rolling avg] for week and day i put this value <[sum(cost)] as [Cost]>. The problem when I choose the Month the result should be display 2 column (side to side bar chart) but it exposed only one column. I check values axis selector I have 2 values which is the cost and rolling avg. May i know what exactly the problem. Thank you.
