Recent updates on CORS Policy?
I had a HEAD request done in Javascript with XMLHttpRequest on resources hosted on a IIS Server, and they've been working fine but until around last week; I get the following error message :
"Access to XMLHttpRequest at [...] from origin [...] has been blocked by cors policy"
I made the problem solved by adding a custom header "Access-Control-Allow-Origin" in my web.config :
<configuration>
<system.webServer>
<httpProtocol>
<customHeaders>
<add name="Access-Control-Allow-Origin" value="*" />
</customHeaders>
</httpProtocol>
</system.webServer>
</configuration>
So, my question is were there some recent updates on CORS Policy ? Why did I not get this error before ? I can't seem to find news on the web...
