Arturo Fernández Rodríguez (born 21 February 1929, in Gijón, Asturias, Spain)[1] is a Spanish actor who has appeared in numerous films since making his debut in 1954.

Biography


Arturo Fernandez Rodríguez was born on February 21, 1929 in the city of Gijon, in Asturias. He started a professional career as a boxer, where he gained the nickname of "The tiger of the Piles". In 1952, he served in the military at Logroño; that summer he realized a course of escalation in Viguera's rocks, sleeping for one month in the schools of this town. He married the Isabel Sensat of Catalan in San Vicente of Montalt on March 21, 1967, and they separated in 1978. They had three children: Maria Isabel (1968), Arturo (1970) and Maria Dolores "Boby" (1975).



Acting career


During his career, he was most known as an interpreter of comedy. His prominent characters represent a keen wooer of women with money problems, although he has continually worn impeccable suits throughout his artistic career. After leading "The house of the messes" on Antena 3 between 1996 and 2000, in May 2007, [TVE] interpreted two twin brothers in the series of "As the dog and the cat".


In theatre, he has led, among others, in the work "The inheritance" (1957),[2] "La third word" (1966), "The beach empties" (1970), "Honoring (play)" (1980),"The girl of the seat of behind" (1983), "The second opportunity (play)" (1985), "Duck to the orange" (1986), "Better in October" (1994), "Esmoquin" (2001), "Dinner-jacket 2" (2003) and "The men do not lie" (2012).
