Ultrasound + RF Data transmission

0

I would like to build a project by using ultrasound and RF.
First, i will send data by using ultrasound and follow by RF transmission.
After the ultrasound data received, the data received will be used for another transmission by using RF transmission.

Question 1 : Is it possible I use one arduino for ultrasonic receiver and RF transmitter? The data will be received from ultrasonic receiver and after that the data will be the input for RF transmitter to be transmitted. This both condition using the same arduino.
Question 2 : If it is possible to use one arduino for two types of transmission, is it possible i sleep the RF transmitter when it is not in use and wake it up after the ultrasound data received without set the arduino to sleep mode since i would like to use the arduino for ultrasound data transmission for all the time to check any data transmission. How do i sleep the RF transmitter only?

Thanks.
