gdb: How to set breakpoint in python C extension code?
I have some code where py script invoke C extension like
def f():
from libXXX import XXXWrapper # libXXX.so in the same dir as this .py
XXXWrapper.blabla()
The C source code are located elsewhere (I moved .so to py dir after compilation)
I tried pdb.set_trace() here but I can't step into the C code (obviously)
Then I tried to use gdb but I'm wondering how can I tell gdb the shared library location (I tried set env LD_LIBRARY_PATH but that's not working) and the C source code location. Otherwise the gdb just can't find the lib and gives
No symbol table is loaded. Use the "file" command.
Make breakpoint pending on future shared library load?
info. Also it won't stop when I run the script later..
python gdb
