matplotlib x axis covered by plot lower

x label covered by plot lower
I am drawing some plots use matplotlib,but some issues came up.
The x label of upper plot marked is covered by plot lower.
I've tried:
fig.tight_layout(h_pad=2,w_pad=2)
But it did not work.
