Error: cannot find symbol method callTimeout(int,TimeUnit)
I just tried to update the okhttp3 lib in my app with new version (3.12.0) that was released two days ago, which provides callTimeout
feature that offers full-operation timeouts.
Here's how my code looks like:
OkHttpClient httpClient = new OkHttpClient.Builder()
.connectTimeout(30, TimeUnit.SECONDS) // 30 seconds
.writeTimeout(30, TimeUnit.SECONDS) // 30 seconds
.readTimeout(30, TimeUnit.SECONDS) // 30 seconds
.callTimeout(300, TimeUnit.SECONDS) // 5 minutes (whole operation timeout)
.retryOnConnectionFailure(false)
.build();
I've already added this to my build.gradle file
implementation 'com.squareup.okhttp3:okhttp:3.12.0'
But whenever i try to build my project, i get this error:
Error: cannot find symbol method callTimeout(int,TimeUnit)
Can anyone point out what's going wrong here? Thanks.

I tested successfully, so seems weird.
