Advanced Validation Firebase
I am using firebase realtime database for a pokemon go like game.
I store an array of all pokemon a user has and also a separate array of just the IDs of all the pokemon a user has caught.
On the client side I remove all pokemon that the user has already caught by checking all pokemon on the map and if their ID matches one that the user already has.
I want to add a separate layer of protection using security rules that when a new pokemon is caught by a user, the ID of that pokemon is checked against the user's pokemon ID list and if the list contains the ID, the user is not allowed to catch the pokemon.
Is this possible using security rules?
