CUPS job removed from lpq even though printer has no pages
I've been breaking my head for a while now. The problem is that it works all good if there are papers in the printer. But when there's no paper in the printer and lp
is executed, the printer seems to accept the request and then show an error that there aren't any pages.
Hence, the job gets added to completed-jobs even though it wasn't completed. So is there a way to see what the printer returns when there's no paper or the exit status?
If not, what could be the best way to achieve this? (a solution using pycups is also appreciated)
