How to get global data area in C on Windows with Visual C++?
I am doing an assignment of implementing a conservative GC in C. Due to historical course requirements, we are still using Visual C++ 6.0. It requires us to scan the pointers saved in global data area and doesn't provide code for this compiler. How do I get the upper and lower bounds of the global data area in this environment?

I followed the instructions but couldn't solve the problem of including DbgHelp.h. And it seems Windows doesn't provide the SDK anymore. Are there simpler ways to do this?

may be, parse compiled file and find linker headers that contains such information
