onFulfilled not called immediately after promise promise resolved

0

I came across a behaviour of node.js that keep me awake at night.

I can't isolate the issue and it does not happen always.

I dont know what I can trust anymore. Please help.

This is what happen, I have :

    console.log("foo");

Promise.resolve().then(()=> console.log("bar"));

When the code run I have a long delay ( several seconds ) between foo and bar be printed on the console.

If I put a phony setTimeout(()=>{},0) before the console.log("foo") it solve the issue 😲.

Any hint on what could possibly be happening ?
