Am I allowed to ship the vcomp140.dll (Microsoft Visual 2017 C++ Redistributable) with my application?
I have an application that depends on Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable für Visual Studio 2017. In particular, I'd like to ship the 'vcomp140.dll' with my application. I found the following list of files that are apparently allowed to be shipped. On this list the 'vcomp140d.dll' is listed, however the 'vcomp140.dll' is not. Also, the 'vcomp140.dll' is contained in the VCRedistMSVC folder of my Visual Studio installation, which I thought contains the files that are allowed to be distributed. As the 'vcomp140.dll' is not explicitely listed on the redist list, does that mean that I'm not allowed to ship it?

The other DLLs you need (vcruntime140.dll, perhaps msvcp140.dll), are not explicitly listed by name either. The formal redist list gives you permission to copy anything from [VisualStudioFolder]VCredist. It contains vcomp140.dll for a retail licensed copy of VS.
