Flask sockets, jQuery and mousedown / mouseup error
This must be something simple but I am struggling over it
Here is the python - Flask socket.io snippet:
@socketio.on('L')
def way(message):
global ways_dict
ways_dict['steer'] = ways_dict['steer'] + 20
if ways_dict['steer'] > 1800:
ways_dict['steer'] = 1800
servo_move(steer_pin, ways_dict['steer'])
print( ways_dict['steer'] )
This is the jQuery bit:
var timeout;
$('#goL').mousedown(function(){
timeout = setInterval(function(){
socket.emit('L', {data: 'L', degr: '1100'});
}, 50);
return false;
}).mouseup(function(){
clearInterval(timeout);
return false;
});
And the HTML form:
<form id="goL" action="#" method="POST">
<input type='image' src="{{url_for('static', filename='L.png')}}" id='L' name='L' value="L" width='40px' height='auto' >
</form>
Holding the mousedown it does what I want and that is to increase a value on the server. On mouseup I get the address
http://192.168.1.12:5000/#
and the error
Method not allowed
Obviously the script returns an invalid address but how can I correct this?
python jquery html flask socket.io
