How to save latticeView() plot as static image?

.everyoneloves__top-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__mid-leaderboard:empty,.everyoneloves__bot-mid-leaderboard:empty{ height:90px;width:728px;box-sizing:border-box;
}

I am using mapview's latticeView() function in R to create a plot of 2 leaflet maps side by die. How do I save the resulting plot as an image (say PNG or JPEG)?. The object that is returned by latticeView() is of class "shiny.tag.list" "list" so mapshot() and savehtmlwidget() are both not working and return the following error:

Error in system.file(config, package = package) :
'package' must be of length

What is the right way of saving a plot output from the latticeView function?

  • This is a long standing issue of mapview. See this thread for a workaround. I am planning to see whether I can leverage manipulateWidget to tackle this. For now, the above mentioned workaround is your only option unfortunately.
