up vote -2 down vote favorite I have my Android app and a Database that is on a remote server. So is making a rest API the only way to connect my app to my database. Is there a way of just referencing the database connection string and running SQL in my app? Like in web applications(i know raw SQL is not the best way to do things). I am open to any suggestions at this point.
