Trouble using GitHub with a solution containing two projects in Visual Studio

0

I have created two projects in the same solution written in C++ using Visual Studio. I want to create a GitHub repository so I can share it with my friends in order to collaborate on it. These two projects in the same solution depend on each other, one is a library we're developing and the other is a project just containing a .cpp file which we compile to test out our library. The problem I'm experiencing, is that the solution and its .lib files and such don't get published (they are contained within the application project folder) to the repository, only the library project folder is getting published! I'd like some help with this, because gitHub is a great tool for collaboration and I don't want to miss out on using it. Thanks in advance!

  • "Don't get published" -- you need to describe how you are trying to publish it. I'd guess you aren't using command-line tools and instead are using some GUI based Visual Studio tools, but that would only be a guess.
