Using an image with CSS Transform properties as Div background

0

I'm trying to use an image with CSS transform properties as a background for a div with formatted text and icons using Bootstrap's .row & .col

The problem I'm having is to reference an image in CSS for transform, I need the image src in my HTML page but to use the image as a background of a row it needs to be linked in the CSS.

The image transform is a slight zoom, my code;
https://codepen.io/jvern22/pen/xQPrwb

shortened;

.item:hover img {
-moz-transform: scale(1.1);
-webkit-transform: scale(1.1);
transform: scale(1.1);
}

My formatted text looks like this;
https://codepen.io/jvern22/pen/JeOJKY

shortened;

<div class="row">

<div class="col-sm-6 features-box wow fadeInLeft">

<div class="row">

<div class="col-sm-3 features-box-icon">
<i class="fas fa-globe-americas"></i>
</div>

<div class="col-sm-9">
<h3>Your Own Web Address</h3>
<p>
You can even have your tour files hosted by us with a web address just for your tour!
</p>
</div>

</div>
</div>

<div class="col-sm-6 features-box wow fadeInLeft">

<div class="row">

<div class="col-sm-3 features-box-icon">
<i class="fas fa-globe-americas"></i>
</div>

<div class="col-sm-9">
<h3>Your Own Web Address</h3>
<p>

</p>
</div>

</div>
</div>

</div>
