How can I remove multiple Express sessions by attribute?

0

A user can be authenticated on multiple sessions (the result of a user logging in on different browsers, for example). If the user deletes his or her account, I would like to destroy all sessions related to that user. The problem of the function req.session.destroy() is that it will only destroy the session currently being worked in, leaving all other potential sessions related to the user to still exist. This could cause a lot of confusion and probably even more fundamental problems.

So, my question is: is there a way to delete multiple sessions by a certain attribute (in this instance the sub-object "user_id"). As an extra, I would also like to perform updates on multiple sessions.

The documentation is not very clear on this and as of now the only option I see is going through the collection myself and deleting the sessions directly through a MongoDB operation. The problem with that is that I may be interfering with how Express works within the server.

Thank you for thinking with me!
