Android mediasession callback doesn't receive the media button events
I'm trying to make an Android app that handle the media button events. I follow the official Android guide, so I setted a mediasession object that dispatch media button events to my callback object. The problem is that the callback doesn't receive the events, and when I push a media button (e.g headset), the priority come to spotify even if the app is in foreground.
MyCallback callback = new MyCallback(TimerMaster.getTimer());
MediaSession mediaSession = new MediaSession(this,"tag");
mediaSession.setFlags(
MediaSession.FLAG_HANDLES_MEDIA_BUTTONS |
MediaSession.FLAG_HANDLES_TRANSPORT_CONTROLS);
mediaSession.setCallback(callback);
PlaybackState.Builder stateBuilder = new PlaybackState.Builder();
stateBuilder.setActions(PlaybackState.ACTION_PLAY |
PlaybackState.ACTION_PAUSE |
PlaybackState.ACTION_PLAY_PAUSE);
stateBuilder.setState(PlaybackState.STATE_PLAYING, 0, 1);
mediaSession.setPlaybackState(stateBuilder.build());
mediaSession.setActive(true);
I've read all the posts about it but nothing worked for me.
