Nothing displays after a dropdown menu in HTML

Scenario :

  • So I have the following html webpage.
    Now, I want

    • another heading before the submit button,

    • and allow some more text

    • fields for user entry,

    • and then have the submit button after all of
      them.

Problem :

But nothing after the first dropdown menu displays.
If I
comment the dropdown menu, then all my next <p> and <h3> elements
display correctly, so I assume the problem is with my dropdown menu.

How do I keep the dropdown menu and also add more text boxes above
the submit button?

Code :

<html>

<style>
input[type=text] {
width: 50%;
box-sizing: border-box;
border: 3px solid #ccc;
border-radius: 3px;
font-size: 16px;
background-color: white;
}
input[type=number] {
width: 50%;
box-sizing: border-box;
border: 3px solid #ccc;
border-radius: 3px;
font-size: 16px;
background-color: white;
}

.container {
width: 500px;
clear: both;
}

.container input {
width: 100%;
clear: both;
margin: auto;
}

.sbt {
width: 20%;
}

input[type=submit] {
padding:5px 15px;
background:#ccc;
border:2px;
cursor:pointer;
border-radius: 5px;
}

.space{
padding: 10px 10px;
}

</style>

<body >
<div class = "container">
<form action="/cdel" method="POST">
<h1> Update Customers: </h1>
<fieldset>
<h3> SET: </h3>
<p>
ID: <input id="id" type='number' name='customer_id' maxlength=10 placeholder="Enter ID">
